PARTICIPANTS OF THE FILMMAKING FUNDAMENTALS FOR CULTURE COURSE RECIEVE CERTIFICATES

  Congratulations filmmakers upon your certification in film making fundamentals for culture. On 11th January 2024 film makers from different cultural institutions were high spirited during the wrap up of their online training   with a face to face workshop   at the UgandaNationalCulturalCenter (UNCC) Kampala. The workshop was graced by Dr. Rosie Agoi, Secretary for Uganda National Commission for UNESCO who awarded 144 film makers with certificates and argued them to use the attained Skills and Knowledge in their film making. “use the skills to empower yourselves, societies and make culture have a force because culture is a catalyst for development" said Agoi.   Mediavision Academy Cheers The Uganda National Commission for UNESCO  Upon Celebrating The 60th Anniversary:    On the 21st of September 2023 marked the peak of 60 years of the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO (UNATCOM) which was celebrated at the Speke Resort Munyonyo. The celebrations were based on a theme “Sixty years of advancing ideas that have shaped Uganda for Peace and sustainable development” . The event brought together various scholars, stakeholders featured notable guests, including Chief guest Rt. Hon. Lukiya Nakadama, third Deputy Prime Minister who represented H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and First Lady/Minister of Education and Sports, with Hon. Peter Ogwang representing the Chairperson of UNATCOM. UNESCO and Mediavision Academy kick off online training in filmmaking fundamentals for culture.  By Daniel Massamba Meboya,  Corporate Communications Strategist   Kampala, 9 August 2023 – Mediavision Academy in partnership with Uganda National Commission for UNESCO kicked off a 12-week online training in filmmaking fundamentals for culture.  The training that aims at promoting and protecting cultural Diversity particularly the development of Film and Audio-Visual sector, brings together 200 participants from all parts of Uganda.
