A momentous end of the ICT & Multimedia Youth Training in Yumbe
The closing ceremony of the five-day ICT and Multimedia Youth Training in Yumbe District was a momentous occasion, as it marked the successful culmination of a program aimed at empowering the youth with essential digital skills. The event, graced by several esteemed guests, including MP Avako Melsa Naima Gule and RDC Tumwesigye John Bosco, served as a platform to recognize the accomplishments of the participants and emphasize the significance of leveraging digital skills for personal growth and community development.

MP Avako Melsa Naima Gule,
in her address, underscored the importance of utilizing social networks and
applying acquired digital skills in practical settings, emphasizing their role
in combating unemployment. In addition, she encouraged the youth to engage in
voluntary community work, recognizing its potential to create job opportunities
and generate income. Her commitment to supporting similar future training
sessions further highlights the dedication to addressing youth unemployment
through digital empowerment.
RDC Tumwesigye John
Bosco's message to the youth about fostering creativity and initiating economic
activities that can generate income aligns with the overarching goal of the
training program. His emphasis on the importance of saving and engaging in
government programs resonates as valuable advice for the youth in their pursuit
of sustainable economic independence.

A notable appeal was made
by LC5 Chairman Asiku Abdul Mutalib, who called upon the Uganda Communications
Commission (UCC) to provide 100 computers for the Yumbe Resource Center. This
request aligns with the vision of further advancing the ICT skills of the
youth, in line with the ethos of progress and development.
The representative from UCC, Eng. Adrogu William, elaborated on the significant impact of the training programs funded across the West Nile districts. Stressing the importance of smartphone utilization in improving lives, he echoed MP Avako Melsa Naima Gule's call to action.

The ceremony also
witnessed the recognition of outstanding participants, Alejo Zaria and Afeku
Gerald, who were awarded brand-new smartphones for their exceptional
performance. This serves as a motivation and a testament to the success of the
training in equipping the youth with valuable skills.

guests, including Chuna Moses Kapolon, Azabo Mahad Kassimu, and Dr. Aluonzi
Buremi, further underscores the significance of the event and reinforces the
