MAXIMISING SUCCESS WITH ICT & MULTIMEDIA SKILLING FOR YOUTH IN PAKWACH TO CREATE JOBS
Everything has gone digital, including entrepreneurship. Graining ICT and Multimedia skill is one of the leading strategies that business people, individuals and social media influencers use to monetize their followings and presence.
At least 110 youth in
Pakwach District have embarked on training by the Uganda Communications
Commission (UCC) and Mediavision Academy with Gretak services limited on the basics of using Information and
Technologies, something that will aid growing techniques in affiliate social
media influencer use to increase their earnings in social media marketing.

District Local Government Mr. Omito Robert Steen in his remarks advised Pakwach youths that online
marketing serves as a direct line to audience, providing an opportunity to
curate value content, share insights and strategically integrate affiliated
links. He also urged the youth to change their mindset and embrace digital
world in order to be state-of-the-art.

Mr. Omito also told
Pakwach that by using online marketing, affiliate marketers can artfully blend
informative and promotional content driving engagements since a lot of
things are changing digitally, they should be dynamic in order to tap into the
competitive job market.
With the timely training
on ICT and Multimedia skilling, three quarter of the youths that constitute the
jobl6class finds hope on something as they think of creating their own jobs.
With a number of activities learnt on the second day of the training; learners
learnt how to get camera shots and composition, types of ICT tools in Multimedia content creation, types of content, Video
editing and graphic designing using their smart phones which something that is currently on market in the
current digital world.

All in all the current
training launch by UCC phase as it seeks to support ICT solutions that address
societal challenges in unserved and undeserved areas of Uganda, the serious
youth in Pakwach would make it to the competitive world where technology is
setting pace in the job market hence changing
their lives.
