A DAY WITH ARRI AT MEDIAVISION ACADEMY

On 25th March 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr Aduloju John an exceptional cinematographer from ARRI accompanied by Samuel Tebandeke, Screen writer, director and CEO Kiasi TV. Their visit provided us with invaluable insights into the latest innovations and technologies shaping the world of filmmaking. Here's a glimpse into the enriching experience we had.

ARRI is a German manufacturer of motion picture film equipment based in Munich. It produces professional motion picture cameras, lenses, lighting and post-production equipment.

Expertise in Camera Production: ARRI's expertise in camera production was evident as they introduced to us their latest range of cameras such as Alexa, highlighting the advancements in image quality, sensor technology, and usability. From compact handheld cameras to high-end digital cinema cameras, ARRI's commitment to pushing the boundaries of cinematography was evident in every product they present.

Innovations in Lighting Equipment: The team from ARRI also introduced us to their cutting-edge lighting equipment, such as Sky Pannel X, demonstrating how their products are revolutionizing the way filmmakers work with light. From versatile LED panels to precision-controlled Fresnel lights, ARRI's lighting solutions are not just tools but instruments that enable artists to paint with light.

Collaborative Approach: What stood out the most during ARRI's visit was their collaborative approach. They engaged with our team, exchanging ideas and discussing how their products could be tailored to meet our specific needs and registered under our name with a specific serial number. They introduced to us the CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) approach of offering the equipment at cheaper cost to film schools like Mediavision Academy. This collaborative spirit reflects ARRI's commitment to working closely with filmmakers to create tools that enhance creativity and elevate storytelling.

Looking Ahead: As we reflect on the visit from ARRI, and our students participation in the workshop that took place on 27th March 2024 at Motiv in Bugolobi geared by the ARRI cinematography specialists to empower creativity from prep to shooting as well as be inspired by the possibilities that lie ahead. The insights gained will not only influence our current projects but also shape our future endeavors. We are excited to explore the potential collaborations and innovations that may arise from this interaction, as we continue to push the boundaries of creativity in filmmaking.

In conclusion, the visit from ARRI was a truly enlightening experience. Their passion for filmmaking and dedication to excellence were evident in everything they presented. We look forward to applying the knowledge gained today and are grateful for the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.
