“NEVER BE SCARED OF TRYING NEW AND CHALLENGING THINGS”-JAMES AESEKOL -A PASSIONATE ACTOR


When Aesekol James was searching for a film school to learn acting, he zeroed down to Mediavision Academy after looking at our curriculum and the project model. He then joined us for the ACTING course.

But along the way, he picked interest in the film production class which he later joined and learned CAMERA WORK, FILM EDITING, SCREENWRITING, CINEMA STUDIES, FILM ANALYSIS and more.

During his stay at Mediavision Academy he produced and directed two amazing short films. SECERTS and AIDA. What caught our eye is that both films have a female as the main character. His philosophical ideas perceive women as caretakers, life givers and should be respected, promoted, protected and supported.

As a young man who has always loved acting, he has now picked interest in other technical aspects of film production, and has turned into a passionate actor, robust cinematographer, film editor and screenwriter. 

As an actor he has consistently delivered more than expected. He has so far performed in great Ugandan films such as the ATHLETE by Matt Bish, TAKE ON and YOUR TURN by Samuel savior, DREAM AMERICA by Moses Ray, MANIA by AFRIWOOD STUDIOZ. He has also given an outstanding performance in two television series produced and directed by Nkambo Robert. His recent performance in ONLY FOR LOVE as Nywal caught us off guard. The director was startled by the way he understood and portrayed the character of NYWAL who is a leader of a gang that is involved in numerous crimes. Today our very own is now producing and directing his own films.

Aesekol is a very calm and creative young made who is not afraid of trying new and challenging things. As Mediavision we are proud of him as our Alumnus, and a recent graduate in Film Production Art.

Director of Mediavision Academy together with the LC5 chairperson and the Deputy Mayor, Arua City Today, the city of Arua in the West Nile region of Uganda witnessed a groundbreaking event that signals a significant step towards digital empowerment and economic transformation.
