WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY I HAVE BEEN ON IN THE VIDEO PRODUCTION COURSE!

Jerry Nathan, 25 years old, has been studying music video production at the Academy since August 2022. “What an extraordinary journey I have been on at the MEDIAVISION ACADEMY®!” he said after developing and implementing his project proposal entitled “MA MINDA”.  Pizzazz Eric and Esther Naava starred as the main characters of the project.

“MA MINDA” is a romantic song written and recorded by Pizzazz Eric who sings about a girl friend who he loves so much.  Unfortunately, the girl friend is nowhere to be seen.  The singer couldn’t resist the booths rekindling romantic memories with Esther.  His only hope is: to reunite with her lover again:

This morning I woke up weak, not knowing why.  Kumbe, it was coz of your absence gal.  Would you mind if I left home to the streets in search of you, but I don`t know if I will find you.  If you were somewhere listening to me just, know I`m searching for you…”

“Feeling broken-hearted is a relatable experience that each of us has already gone through – I don’t believe anyone has ever escaped the sorrow of a heart in hurt,” said Jerry Nathan.  “I choose this song because it speaks volumes about lovers and broken hearts”.

Nathan attended his primary school in his native city of Gulu, northern region of Uganda.  He then joined Global Institute of Information Technology & Business in the Ugandan capital city, Kampala where he took courses in film and video production and also sound recording and publishing.  “Film is a valuable means of expression creating realistic pathways to further success.”

Passionate lover of music, Nathan studied music performance at Esom School of Music in Kampala and has already dreamt of starting his own production facilities.  “I like to be challenged, want real responsibility and appreciate the freedom to think creatively about how to do things,” he concluded.

“MA MINDA” is a music video production project that fulfills the training requirements for each student undertaking courses at the end of the semester.  The production exercise helps the student to bridge gaps between theory and practice in a bid to develop appropriate habitual reactions and reinforce previously acquired skills and technical knowledge.
