UNESCO CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY
Mediavision Academy Cheers The Uganda National Commission for UNESCO Upon Celebrating The 60th Anniversary: On the 21st of September 2023 marked the peak of 60 years of the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO (UNATCOM) which was celebrated at the Speke Resort Munyonyo. The celebrations were based on a theme “Sixty years of advancing ideas that have shaped Uganda for Peace and sustainable development” . The event brought together various scholars, stakeholders featured notable guests, including Chief guest Rt. Hon. Lukiya Nakadama, third Deputy Prime Minister who represented H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and First Lady/Minister of Education and Sports, with Hon. Peter Ogwang representing the Chairperson of UNATCOM. Distinguished figures, such as the Ambassador of Japan and UNESCO and UNHCR representatives, were also in attendance.
