With my camera, I wanted to capture those precious moments of love
“Love Birds” - With her camera 6D, Jovia
captured the first-ever image depicting a story about unconditional love
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.” That quote from Ansel Adams inspired Jovia to capture the first-ever image depicting a story about unconditional love – love between Jerry and Irene that knows no parameters, no restrictions.
Jovia Nicole Kirabo
was born in 2003 in Uganda. She attended
Royal College where she obtained her Certificate in Education. Very passionate
of Art and Design, she joined MEDIAVISION ACADEMY to gain technical skills in
digital photography.
“Photography is my great passion and I really like exhibiting my photos,” said Jovia who – through this school project photo-shoot scenario – seeks to find out whether photography can capture the attraction between two people and get the feelings they have for each other.
The photographer in the photo-shoot scenario deliberately posed the lovers somewhere in the Kizungu Zone, Makindye Division, a neighborhood in Kampala.
“With my camera, I wanted to capture those precious moments of love beautifully in stunning digital high-definition resolution using a 6D camera with medium zoom and prime lenses,” said Jovia who is in her final year at the Academy after attending a one-year full-time course in photography.
Robert Nkambo, the Academy Director who supervised the photo-shoot entitled “Love Birds”, remains proud of the work produced by Jovia. “It needed a lot of work and enthusiasm, but all ended well.”
